Nutrition and health is an intimidating topic. The wealth of information available online is overwhelming to say the least. From one day to the next, we are hearing completely opposing opinions, leaving people feeling more defeated and confused than ever.

Worry not! I’m about to share with you the only 5 nutrition tips that are truly worth your time and effort to focus on.

1.

Focus on what you can add in, rather than take away, from your diet.

Firstly, up your intake of fruits and vegetables. It seems so simple, doesn’t it? Okay, maybe not for the picky eaters out there who aren’t fond of most fruits and vegetables. I have a tip for you as well, so read on.

According to the Canada.ca website, “Canadian women need 25 grams of fibre per day and men need 38 grams of fibre per day. Most Canadians are only getting about half that much.” 25–38 grams of fibre really isn’t a whole lot — except when it comes to the American diet, in which processed foods are aplenty and too much emphasis can be placed on protein or simple carbs.
